Troutt heading to bowling regionals

Massac County’s Michaela Troutt rolled a six game series of 1001, 168 average, Feb. 8 at the Illinois High School Association regional bowling tournament at Herrin to advance to Satruday’s Alton sectional at Bowl Haven,

Like male counterpart Andrew Penrod, Troutt was one of 10 bowlers from non-advancing teams to make the cut. Massac County finished eighth out of the 13 team field.

The Lady Patriots shot a team total of 4319. Herrin took the team title with a score of 5527. Waterloo, Salem and Mt. Vernon also advanced.

Harrisburg junior Rebecca Stricklin shot a sizzling 1262, 210 average, for the six-game set to take individual honors.
