The board also heard details from Unit One Superintendent Bill Hatfield regarding the district's enrollment and received a financial update as well.
On the subject of enrollment, Hatfield said last year, in the 2011-2012 school year, the district began with a total enrollment in August of 2161 and in May ended the school year with a total of 2165. "I'm surprised to see that we ended last year really close to where we started. That doesn't usually happen. Given our mobility rate, that is a lot of people moving in and moving out," said Hatfield.
