Wanda H. Ervin, 83, of Villa Ridge, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Born May 22, 1929 in Olmsted, Mrs. Ervin attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge and was a retired first grade teacher with Century School District in Ullin.

Mrs. Ervin was a lifelong member of Caledonia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include three daughters, Marla Hardesty and husband David of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Alyce Giltner and husband Bruce of Villa Ridge and Colleen Buckles of Jackson, Mo.; one sister, Dawn Lackey of Anna; one brother, George Bankson of Mounds; five grandchildren, Autum Simmons, Neal Giltner, Trae Buckles, Stephen Buckles and Alysha Giltner; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Edna Calvin Bankson; her husband, Arthur S. Ervin Jr.; twin grandsons, Noah and Robert Giltner; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral service was held Friday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo with Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery at Pulaski.
