Willard “Wiggie” Lang, 67, of the Rosebud community, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011 at his home.

Born May 8, 1944 in Metropolis, Mr. Lang was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Rosebud. He was a retired electrician from Honeywell in Metropolis and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Lang; three daughters, Scarlett Burgett, Sherry Owens and Kelly Lang, all of Metropolis; one son, Kevin Lang and wife Faith of Maylene, Ala.; four grandchildren, James Burgett, Shelly Hensley, Lee Hensley and Austin Lang; two great-grandchildren, Makenzie Burgett and Brayden Hensley; and one brother, Harry Lang of Grand Chain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Jennie Triplett Lang; one brother, James Lang; and one sister, Freda Cozart.

Graveside service was held Monday at Antioch Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Richerson officiating. Military honors were conducted by VFW Post 9227 and American Legion Post 719.
