Born Oct. 23, 1918 in Clinton, Ind. to Mur and Pauline Myers, Bill graduated from Brazil High School before serving his country in the United States Army during World War II and going on to work at Eli Lilly and Co. in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was formerly a member of West Bridge Church of Danville, Ind. and was an avid car collector.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Myers of Bloomington, Ind.; two daughters, Catherine Powers and husband Dr. Marvin of Paducah and Ellen Myers of Clayton, Ind.; one sister, Ruth Cagle of Terre Haute, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Matthew McPeek and wife Stacey, Ryan Blinn and wife Casey, Brandon Blinn, William Blinn, Austin Blinn, Evan Blinn, Peyton Blinn and Wyatt Blinn; and four great-grandchildren, Quinten McPeek, Clayton McPeek, Ellie McPeek and Rylie Blinn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Myers; one brother, Thomas Myers; and three sisters, Eileen Hunt, Peg Killion and Betty Ann Mogan.
Funeral service was held Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Ron McDugle officiating. Burial followed at Indian Prairie Baptist Cemetery.
