Wilma was born on Dec. 12, 1925, in Miami County, Ind., the daughter of Albert Leffel and Elizabeth Hoover Leffel.
Wilma graduated from Albion High School in Albion, Ind., with the class of 1943. Wilma retired from Indiana Wire Die factory in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Wilma was a member of Seven Mile Baptist Church in Metropolis, where she was active in the church family and the church WMU for many years preceding her death. She was also a lifetime member of TOPS and an artist who enjoyed painting.
Wilma loved life and enjoyed visiting with friends, family and a very special K-9 “Lucy.”
Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Ann Malin of Metropolis; three grandchildren, Perry Malin and wife Patsy of Dallas, Texas and Patti Eichorn and husband Monty and Penny Rodriquez and husband Jose, all of Metropolis; three great-grandchildren, Colton Eichorn, Madison Eichorn and Clayton Eichorn, of Metropolis; three sisters, Ethal Lang of Redding, Calif., Hazel Ridyard of Oceanside, Calif. and Miriam Shultz of Wolcottville, Ind.
She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth Leffel; three sisters, May DeWald, Evelyn Black and Mary Richardson; one brother, Walter Leffel; and one son-in-law, Pat Malin.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Seven Mile Baptist Church with Pastors Frank Forthman and Justin Reynolds officiating. Music was provided by Alma Harris, pianist.
Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Green, Louis Hillebrand, James Pritchett, Ron Redmon, Time Shultz and Eric Simanton.
