Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Betty Cockrel of Joppa; two daughters, Stacey Kimberlin of Joppa and Savannah Cockrel of Metropolis; two sons, Brandon Cockrel and wife Kathleen of Burna, Ky. and Derek Cockrel and wife Penny of West Paducah; five grandchildren, Shelby Wayne Pack of Metropolis, Dylan Pack and wife Serena of Joppa, Megan and Hunter Cockrel of West Paducah and Talon Cockrel of Burna; three stepgrandchildren, Brittany Kotter and Shawna Roberts, both of Metropolis; and Ian Cockrel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul S. and Hautie Iris A. Shelton Cockrel.
