Eugene McIntosh, 85, of the Boaz community in Massac County, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

Rev. McIntosh retired from the French and Hecht, Kelsey-Hayes Corp. in Davenport, Iowa and was also the pastor at the Church of God in Patton Junction, Mo.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Shreves McIntosh; one daughter, Rebecca Wilkison of Davenport; one son, Greg McIntosh of Boaz; two sisters, Imogene Moore of Madisonville, Ky. and Judy Gilbert of Possum Trot, Ky.; one brother, William Conley Jr. of Bay City; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruth Largent McIntosh; two brothers; and one sister.

Funeral service was held Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Kenneth Welker and Rev. Flo Patrick officiating.

Burial followed at Anderson Cemetery in Boaz with military graveside rites conducted by Vienna VFW, Beggs-Gurley Post.
