Two hundred years ago, the steamboat, New Orleans, made its way down the Ohio and Mississippi rivers on its way to New Orleans, La. In observance of the bicentennial anniversary of that voyage, Fort Massac State Park will be the site of a Steamboat Bicentennial Celebration.

To kick off this special event's weekend, the Metropolis Kiwanis and Bikeworld of Paducah have partnered together to host the Steamboat Celebration Family Bike Ride at Fort Massac State Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This ride will be along the newly completed George Rogers Clark Discovery Trail. Bikers of all ages are encouraged to attend and bring their own bike.
