Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Cache Chapel United Methodist Church near Ullin with Rev. Mike Sharp and Rev. Scott Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Cypress Masonic Cemetery.
Born Oct. 8, 1939, Mrs. Corzine was a member of the Save Cache River citizens committee for 31 years in various positions and worked alongside her husband to preserve the Lower Cache River Wetlands for more than 41 years. She was co-owner of an electronic repair business for 27 years, then employed by the State of Illinois for 13 years. She was co-owner of a wildlife enhancement area for the past three years.
Over the years, Mrs. Corzine has been involved with different denominational churches and with various community services.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, A.E. Corzine of Ullin; three daughters, Pamela McSorley and husband Jerry of Houston, Texas, Tamela Lingle and husband Carl of Dongola and Melinda Corzine of McClure; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-child; and three sisters, Jo Ann Gaskill of Manito, Velma Dorsett of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Patsy Johnson of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Gladys McHarry Fisher; and one sister, Frances Simmerman.
