FOP contests four layoffs at sheriff's department

The Massac County Sheriff's Department has announced layoffs of four employees as of Dec. 7. According to the Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council, the union representing deputies, correctional officers and dispatchers, will appeal the layoff through their contract's grievance procedure.
