Ray Vaughn, commander for Metropolis’ Amvets Post 132, is reminding area residents that donations are still needed for the annual Toys for Kids Toy Drive.

All toys will stay within the county and will be distributed at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23 at the Girl Scout House. The toy drive will close once the toys run out.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at several locations throughout the area, including the Metropolis Planet; WMOK; Banterra, MidCountry and City National banks; Lange Chiropractic; Dollar General Store; Family Dollar Store; city hall; Bjo’s Hair Care; Princess Consignment; Rent One; J.T.’s Burgers and More; Massac County Extension Office; or on the porch at Vaughn’s home, 1105 Pearl St.
