Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Vienna. Burial will follow at Wise-Robinson Cemetery.
Born April 11, 1937, Mrs. Oliver was a homemaker. She served for many years as an election judge in the Grantsburg precinct.
Mrs. Oliver and her family were charter members of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Vienna, where she was actively involved in many areas of church service.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Oliver and wife Betty of Seymour, Tenn., Jeffrey Oliver and wife Dawn of Cassopolis, Mich., Ronald Oliver and wife Sara of Shakopee, Minn. and Jon Oliver and wife Pam of Lakewood, Colo.; one daughter, Linda Parson and husband Javan of Vienna; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Ross of Springfield and Mildred Oliver and husband Bill of Palatka, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin “Ben” Murrow and Nola Mae Tally Murrow; her husband of 53 years, Robert J. Oliver; six sisters, Blanche Black, Pauline Stucker, Marie Whitlock, Lorene Anderson, Wanda Murray and Betty Frothingham; two brothers, Howard “Fuzz” Murrow and Robert Murrow; and two infant brothers.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the church.
