Sawyer elected to IBCA Hall of Fame

Earlier this month, Don E. Sawyer received a letter from the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) informing him that he had been voted into the IBCA Hall of Fame.

It was a fitting culmination of a 28-year run as the coach of the Unity Grade School Lady Lions.

In that span covering most of three decades, Sawyer guided the Lady Lions to 504 wins against just 112 losses.
