Mrs. Arnold was co-owner of Sentinel Abstract and Title Co. and H&R Block in Metropolis. She was of the Baptist faith, active in the Massac County Historical Society and was the former Metropolis City Treasurer.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Arnold Sr. of Metropolis; one son, Robert Arnold Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two granddaughters, Ashley Britton of Lone Oak and Megan Arnold of Memphis, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Powell and Evelyn Williams Melton.
Graveside service was held Monday at IOOF Cemetery in Metropolis with Rev. Gary Cruse officiating.
