Billington said he had a quote from Symetra for the exact same coverage the county has now for $510.30 per month. Billington pointed out the county has been paying $782.93 per month. The difference is $272.63 and when multiplied by 12 would be a savings of $3272 annually.
The commissioners, after reviewing the quote, approved a motion to switch the county's life insurance policy from Fort Dearborn to Symetra, effective for a Feb. 1 start date.
