Massac County’s Lady Patriots proudly hold the hardware they reclaimed from the Lady Eagles of Vienna in regional tournament play Thursday in Vienna. The ladies used a stifling defense and the absence of one of Vienna’s better players, Maranda Chance, to ruin the home folks’ night.
Following a somewhat lethargic 52-38 win over first round opponent Anna-Jonesboro, the ladies opened a little flat against Vienna and looked to be in some trouble after the first eight minutes of play.
