Ralph was retired after 39 and one-half years of service with Fruit Belt Service Co. After he retired, he helped his sons on the hog farm. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Metropolis and the Metropolis Gideon’s Camp. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a loyal Massac County Patriots basketball and football fan.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jo Ann Quint Logeman of Metropolis; three sons, Kevin Logeman and wife Marla of Metropolis, Brent Logeman and wife Tonia of Tunnel Hill and Scott Logeman and wife Laura of Metropolis; eight grandchildren, Brandon Logeman of Durham, N.C., Matthew Logeman of Owensboro, Ky., Josh Logeman and Alyssa Logeman, both of Metropolis, and Noah Logeman, Luis Logeman, Alex Logeman and Sophia Logeman, all of Tunnel Hill; one sister, Fern Livesay and husband John of Brookport; one brother, Truman Logeman and wife Liz of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Esther Korte Logeman; one sister, Opal Markus; and one infant brother, Reuben Logeman.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor John Kiehl officiating. Music was provided by Sherry Hunerkoch.
Burial followed at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lyle Markus, Lee Markus, Larry Markus, Jared Quint, Jeff Quint, Mike Logeman, Tim Davis and Jeff Korte.
