Last week, the county had $79,069 in its general fund, and the commissioners were concerned whether or not the county would be able to make this week's payroll. Commissioner Jerel Childers and Commission Chair Billy Hillebrand had stated they did not want to borrow money this early in the year.
However, with mounting bills, some of which were past due from July 2011, the commissioners made the decision to borrow the money.
