Kevin served many years as a deputy sheriff for the Massac County Sheriff’s Department and was a police officer for the City of Brookport. He worked part-time as a deputy in Pope County and a sergeant of security at Honeywell in Metropolis. He was currently employed at Southern Coal Handling Terminal as a heavy equipment operator in Calvert City, Ky. Tubo enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends and his loving pets.Kevin was a loving fiancé, father, grandfather, uncle and brother.
Survivors include his fiancé, Jessica Douglas of Brookport; one son, Brandon Meyers of Brookport; two grandchildren, Ashley and Blake Meyers, both of Brookport; one brother, Kenneth Meyers and wife Shaunetta of Goreville; three sisters, Karen Mizell of Metropolis, Beverly Simon of Fort Myers, Fla. and Judy Dwyer and husband Bill of Memphis, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; his extended family, Roswitha Denzer, William Douglas and wife Brenda, Jeff and Kathy Harris, Ray and Sue West, Maria and Chuck Mills, Jean Aviles and sons and Robert Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Agnes Marie Gill Meyers; and one brother, Dennis Meyers.
Masonic service was held at 5 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service was held Friday at 1 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Brian Anderson officiating.
