Santorum carries the vote in Massac County

With the polls now closed in Illinois, the unofficial results are in and in the race for the Republican nomination for president of the United States, it was Rick Santorum who captured the majority of the votes in Massac County with 890. Coming in second with 497 was candidate Mitt Romney.

Incumbent President Barrak Obama received a total of 324 votes in Massac County.

In the local races in Massac County, it was Jeff Weber capturing 1262 votes over challenger Tim White for the Republican nomination for Massac County Commissioner. On the Democratic ticket, it was incumbent Billy Hillebrand getting 277 votes while his challenger Roy Cooper receiving 103 votes.
