MJHS volleyball hopes for a second state title falls short with loss Saturday

The Massac Junior High School volleyball team’s bid for a second straight state title came a bit short in the quarterfinal of the state tournament on Saturday at Pinckneyville High School.

In the match, Massac was matched up against the unblemished 23-0 Benton Junior Lady Rangerettes. Massac would come out clearly nervous, over-shooting numerous serves and attacks.
