Massac County’s softball team notched its third conference win of the season Monday with a thrilling 6-5 win over a tough Benton team.
Falling behind 3-0 early, the ladies looked a little lethargic until a spectacular play by second baseman Jordyn Smith seemed to ignite them.
In the bottom of the third inning, Lakken Jones started a big rally that saw the Patriots bat around and take a lead that they never relinquished.
