Possibly taking a clue from the softball team, Massac’s Patriot baseball team turned what looked like an ugly loss into a stunning, five-inning 18-8 win over Herrin’s Tigers last Tuesday.

Herrin rocked Massac starter Dalton Mitchell for four first inning runs and tacked on four more in the top of the fourth just for good measure.
