Massac County’s Lady Patriots clinched the Ohio Division of the SIRR conference last week going unbeaten in conference play.

A 12-1 five inning win at West Frankfort sewed up their first ever divisional crown.

Massac’s heavy hitting duo of Gracyn McBride and Courtney Copley did what they do against the lady Redbirds, with McBride collecting four more RBI on a two-double day at the dish.

Copley likewise knocked in four runs with a two-bagger and a homerun.

Pitcher Kaylee Childers scattered eight hits surrendering the lone run in the third on a homerun by Frankfort’s Callie Wyant.

Monday’s game at Goreville pitted two of southern Illinois’ finest, and the game did not disappoint.
