Born April 6, 1917 in St. Joseph, Mo., Mr. Jordan retired after 30 years of service with Electric Energy Inc. of Joppa. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp where he was a member of the 8th Air Corp during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Zella Mae Ewell Jordan; four daughters, Elaine Hagler of Des Moines, Wash., Charlene Blankenship, Edinburg, Texas, Jeanetta Mattingly, Harrisburg and Julia Jones, Olive Branch, Miss.. 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David S. and Eva Rutledge Jordan Sr.; his first wife, Gladys Jordan; one son, David S. Jordan III; and two brothers, William Donald Jordan and Ralph Rutledge Jordan.
Graveside service will be held at a later date.
