Mr. Jones was a former deacon for Reidland Baptist Church where he was still a member, an Air Force veteran during the Korean Conflict and retired from Paducah Iron and Welders Supply.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nellie Jo Colson Jones; his daughter, Sheryl T. Jones of Paducah; one sister, June Lampley of Metropolis; one niece; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Lorene Goheen Jones.
A graveside service was held Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah with Rev. Larry Lewis officiating.
Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah was in charge of arrangements.
