Mrs. Krueger was a member of Zion United Church of Christ of Metropolis, and she retired from Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Alma Creekmur and husband Jack of Cadiz, Ky. and Barbara Lindsey and husband Wilbur of Metropolis; four sons, Loren E. Krueger, Stephen Krueger, Ronnie Krueger and Donnie Krueger and wife Pat, all of Metropolis; eight grandchildren, Kristi Burnett of Calvert City, Ky., Lori Jackson of Lansing, Mich., Shannon Dassing of Brookport, Tyler Farris of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Jason Krueger, Brandon Carnahan, Loren Lindsey and Carey Lindsey, all of Metropolis; eight great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Minnie Affsprung Schmidt; her husband, Loren Krueger; two infant granddaughters, Ashley and Amber George; five sisters; and six brothers.
Funeral service was held Monday at Zion United Church of Christ with Dr. James D. Nelson officiating. Music was provided by Connie Hefner, organist; and Laura Sielbeck, soloist. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Ben Schmidt, Charles Schmidt, Junior Krueger, Darrell Logeman, David Krueger and Kevin Foss.
