First place hardware
Massac County’s Patriot golf team is shown with the hardware from their second tournament win of the young season. The boys won the A-J McDonalds’ Invitational by a whopping 20 stroke margin. At West Frankfort Country Club, in an 11-team field, the boys were led by Dalton Korte who fired a one under par round of 70 to take medalist honors.
Zach Burnham carded a 73 to take third. Drake Stepter and Jon Duley rounded out Massac’s card with scores of 78 and 80 respectively.
The win at Anna was very impressive, if not spectacular, with three players recording under par rounds.
