Kenneth D. Buttrum, 53, of the Big Bay community in Massac County, died Sunday, Aug, 26, 2012, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kerley Cemetery in the Flatwoods community.

Those attending the service may gather at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna at 10 a.m. to accompany the procession to the cemetery.

Born May 9, 1959 in Anna, Mr. Buttrum operated his own fuel service supply business and was affiliated with Seay Oil Company.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Linda Wetherington Buttrum; one son, Kenneth L. Buttrum and wife Jamie of Lewisville, Texas; two grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Buttrum and wife Jean of Vienna, Roy Buttrum and wife Sue of Grand Chain and Donnie Buttrum and wife Diane of Elgin; four sisters, Mary Buttrum of Vienna, Wanda Conrod and husband Dave of Murphysboro, Carmen Clardy and husband Gale of Eddyville and Joyce West of Canton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Kenneth and Mary Marie Holt Buttrum; and one brother, Jerry Dean Buttrum.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the funeral home.
