The Massac County High School (MCHS) boys soccer team started the season out right with a convincing victory in their first game of the year with a 6-0 win at Ballard County. The visiting Massac squad controlled all aspects of the game, both offensively and defensively, with the shutout win.

Hayes Lawson had the honor of being the first Patriot to score this season, coming from an assist by Kyle Reinwald at the six-minute mark of the game.
