Massac’s Patriot football team journeyed to Murray last Friday night to do battle with the Lakers of Calloway County.

Both teams had Mother Nature to contend with also as the remnants of Hurricane Isaac swept through the region bringing with it a howling wind and the threat of heavy rain.

The game went on in dry fashion but the wind was a factor all night as Calloway prevailed by a score of 43-28.

The 43-28 score was a good indication of a game that was at once a Calloway blowout win and a determined second half comeback by Massac County.
