Both teams had Mother Nature to contend with also as the remnants of Hurricane Isaac swept through the region bringing with it a howling wind and the threat of heavy rain.
The game went on in dry fashion but the wind was a factor all night as Calloway prevailed by a score of 43-28.
The 43-28 score was a good indication of a game that was at once a Calloway blowout win and a determined second half comeback by Massac County.
