Born and raised in Metropolis, Mr. Green lived many years in Danville. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elsie Green; one son, Kevin Green and wife Shelly of Palm Harbor; two grandchildren; two brothers, Larry and Melvin Green, both of Metropolis; and one sister, Joyce Goins of Metropolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Ruth Green; and one brother, Bob Green.
Funeral service was held Aug. 30 at First Assembly of God Church in Tarpon Springs. Burial followed in Holiday, Fla.
