Elaine J. Williamson, 88, of Metropolis, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at Calvert City, Ky. Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Williamson worked for several years at the Massac County States Attorney’s Office and retired from the Massac County Sheriff’s Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Metropolis.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Howle Seward and husband Larry of Murray, Ky.; one son, Michael Williamson and companion Rae Vied of Metropolis; two grandchildren, Christopher Howle of Austin, Texas and Cassie Howle White of Benton, Ky.; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Elaine White of Benton, Ky.; one sister, Mary Helen Bakehouse of Metropolis; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Cassie Heideman Johnson; her husband, Bob Williamson; two sisters, Marion Johnson and Lois Haverkamp Dillow; and an infant brother.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at Metropolis First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jon Cockrel and Bro. Brad White officiating. Music was provided by Stecia Gregory and Ron Roberts. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Bob Griffey, Ted Holder, JD Haverkamp, Gerald Haverkamp, Kim Bakehouse, and Dwight Bakehouse.
