Flora Ehrstein Denton Vessell, 56, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, in St. Louis, Mo.

Graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Masonic Cemetery in Grand Chain with Rev. Alan Milligan officiating.

Born Oct. 30, 1955 in St. Louis, Mrs. Vessell’s work history included administration manager for Valley Mineral Products in St. Louis; administration manager for Resco Products in Bonne Terre, Mo,; manager of Shawnee Development in southern Illinois; sales representative for Cajun Bag and Supply in Crowley, La.; broker for Edward Jones in Lansdale, Pa.; and owner/vice president of Vessell Mineral Products Corp., VMPC Resources, VMPC Development, VMPC Recreational and Stone Park of Bonne Terre. She was the founder of My Sister’s Place and My Sister’s Place Too in Bonne Terra. She was a member of Bonne Terra Chamber of Commerce, board member for the SEMO Family Violence Council in Bonne Terra and a board member for the women’s shelter in Lansdale.

Survivors include her husband, Royce Vessell; her stepchildren, Lauren Vessell of Holts Summit, Mo. and Krista O’Brien and husband Dan and Chad Vessell, all of St. Louis; two nephews, Shawn Ehrstein and Michael Ehrstein, both of Wichita, Kan.; and two nieces, Anita Schwartz, St. Louis and Jesse Holcomb of Desoto, Mo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Blanche Weimer Ehrstein; and her brothers, Michael Ehrstein and William Weimer.
