The Massac County High School boys soccer team is in the final stretch of the regular season before the IHSA playoffs begin.

However, this dash to the finish line in the schedule will feature not only tough opponents but also some lengthy road trips that include trips to Murray, Ky., Mt. Carmel and Anna within a four-day period.

This stretch in the schedule began with a trip to Murray, on Saturday to play the always-solid Murray High Tigers.

The visiting Patriots continued their strong play and matched Murray in a well-played game by both teams.
