The free event will include many craft vendors, carriage rides and a band.
At the festival, visitors will receive a map with all of the participating businesses, where they can visit all of businesses and enter into a drawing to win Metro Dollars. These dollars can be spent at Metropolis businesses that are members of the Metro•Chamber.
The vendors include, but are not limited to, handmade wreaths, handmade signs, pottery, homemade soaps and lotions and jewelry, as well as baked goods and homemade candies.
A children’s pumpkin decorating contest is planned, and Dale Brugger with Bruggers Carriage Services will be at the festival offering carriage rides.
For entertainment, the Melungeons will be playing in the gazebo. The Melungeons are a family band with a unique eclectic sound. Members include, Rhonda James, vocals; Sam Lucas, guitar, banjo and vocals; Thomas Thompson, guitar and vocals; Will Lambert, fiddle and vocals; and Tom Summers, banjo, mandolin and vocals.
Washington Park is located on the corner of Metropolis and East Third streets.
