The union approved the contract the previous week. The three-year contract includes annual step increases plus a 1 percent added to the pay scale each year.
Prior to the regular meeting the board held its annual budget hearing and passed the budget for fiscal year 2013 later that evening.
The board also accepted the resignation of President David Godfrey.
After serving the community for over 16 years, Godfrey recently moved out of the district. The board appointed Stacey Reames to fill his seat.
