At that time, McDaniel was addressing the Metropolis City Council's decision in December 2011 to continue forward with the city's $3.2 million electric conversion project in light of the city's budget problems — and how proceeding meant residents had electricity during the summer's heat wave.
During Monday's council meeting, another payoff of that electric conversion project was announced.
