Looking at the five game schedule for the Crab Orchard tournament, the Rangers had a realistic chance at three wins.
Instead, they headed home 1-4 after play was over and had tasted the thrill of victory with a nice comeback win over Hardin County. But, they had also suffered the agony of defeat three times and endured the embarrassment of lackadaisical play in their final game of the tourney.
Going in, Dongola with big Tyler Eddleman, looked like they would be hard for Joppa’s small lineup to handle and Crab Orchard is always tough at home.
Those two losses weren’t all that surprising but the losses to Elverado and the final letdown against Pope had Harris nonplussed.
