Ms. Griffin attended Weaver Creek Baptist Church in Metropolis and was a retired nurse’s aide from the former Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Metropolis.
Survivors include one son, John T. Griffin and wife Karen of Metropolis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lillie Pugh of Mayfield, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Coleman and Annie May Foster Dial; one son, Bobby Sanford; and one sister.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Shawn Vandergriff officiating. Burial followed at Lynnville Pentecostal Cemetery.
