Doris Caroline Eickholz Krueger, 82, of Metropolis, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.

Mrs. Krueger was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Metropolis and was a retired social worker for the State of Illinois.

Survivors include one son, Gary Krueger and wife Rita of Metropolis; two daughters, Debra James and husband Chris of Metropolis and Kimberly Milejczak of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Lori Krueger, Bryan Krueger and wife Amy and Samuel Milejczak; and two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Caroline Krueger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma Hinners Eickholz; her husband, Calvin H. Krueger; one granddaughter, Kelsey Glass; and three sisters, Loretta Copley, Florence Deasel and Alfreda Bremer.

Funeral service was held Tuesday at Lutheran Church of the Cross with Rev. David Deem officiating. Music was provided by Marie Taylor.

Burial followed at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bryan Krueger, Harold Lange, Tracy Suttles, Dale Mittendorf, John Taylor and Walter Eime.

Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
