Mrs. Stephens retired from Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross in Metropolis.
Survivors include two daughters, Janie Johnson and husband Trent and Vickie Pratte and husband Jim, all of Metropolis; two sons, Gary Stephens and wife Cheryl of Olmstead and Mike “Possum” Stephens and wife Vickie of Joppa; six grandchildren, Nate Stephens, Molly Stephens, Chad Lewis and Cale Lewis, all of Metropolis, Rachel Johnson of Paducah and Leah Moore of Olmstead; 11 great-grandchildren, Hadley Stephens, Ella Stephens, Hannah McNeill-Stephens, Ava McNeill-Stephens, Hudson Lewis and Holden Lewis, all of Metropolis, Lydia Lewis of Byron Center, Mich., Brantly Johnson of Paducah and Cameron Moore, Kolby Moore and Madison Moore, all of Olmstead; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Opal Gee Morse; her husband, J.B. Stephens; one grandson, Brad Rushing; three sisters, Lorene Alexander, Alice Inman and Faye Mescher; and one brother, George Morse.
Funeral service was held Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. David Deem officiating.
Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Chad Lewis, Cale Lewis, Jim Pratte, Nate Stephens, Gary Stephens and Ray Duley.
