With the 35th annual Superman Celebration coming faster than a speeding bullet, the organizers are announcing some of this year’s special celebrity guests, which brings together a history of Superman on television, from the old to the new.

This first celebrity line-up being released includes two actors from the original The Adventures of Superman and an actress from Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Superman Celebration Organizer Karla Ogle said this year the celebration is fortunate to have two actors from the original television series. Ogle went on to say there will be more celebrities announced later on.

Tracy Scoggins, who played Cat Grant on the popular television series Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which starred Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, will be making her first trip to Metropolis. Scoggins is also known for her role of Monica Colby on the 1980’s primetime soap opera Dynasty and the spin-off series The Colby’s.

She was recruited by Elite Models and traveled to New York, Italy, Germany and France. Her first acting role was in 1979 playing a fake deputy sheriff in The Dukes of Hazard. She has had guest roles in Remington Steele, TJ Hooker, Blue Thunder, A-Team and Nip/Tuck. Scoggins also appeared as Captain Elizabeth Lochley in Babylon 5 during the last season.

Laurie Mitchell Roberts was a Sci-Fi queen and appeared in 1957 episode of The Adventures of Superman, The Man Who Made Dreams Come True, starring George Reeves. Mitchell’s professional career began with an appearance in the 1954 feature film, 20000 Leagues Under The Sea. She appeared in many iconic television shows such as: The Addams Family, My Three Sons, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Hogans Heroes, Gomer Pyle: USMC, Wagon Train, Bonanza, 77 Sunset Strip and well as many others. She had roles in Attack of The Puppet People, Some Like It Hot, Queen of Outer Space and Missile To The Moon.

Child Star Gregory Moffett is making his first appearance at the Superman Celebration. Acting until the age of 13, Moffett appeared in the episode The Stolen Elephant from The Adventures of Superman. Moffett also had roles in Robot Monster, Let’s Dance with Fred Astaire and Betty Hutton and the Joel McCrea western Saddle Tramp.

Scoggins, Mitchell and Moffett will be available to meet fans on Friday and Saturday during the 35th annual Superman Celebration. The dates of this year’s celebration are June 6-9.

Mitchell and Moffett will be special guests at a live performance of The Perils of Superman an episode of The Adventures of Superman.
