The list of celebrities attending the 35th annual Superman Celebration keeps growing.
Smallville’s Michael Rosenbaum and Superman’s Margot Kidder are returning to the Celebration.
“Michael was a popular guest in 2006 and we are so glad he will be making his second trip to the Celebration,” said organizer Karla Ogle.
Rosenbaum is most known for his 2001-11 role as Lex Luthor on Smallville. He also appeared in the feature films Sweet November, Urban Legend and Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. His television appearances include Breaking In and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He’s also done voice-over work, including Teen Titans, Batman Beyond, Batman: The Brave & The Bold and Justice League: Doom.
Rosenbaum will appear during the autograph sessions on Saturday, June 8 at Banterra Bank. He will also take part in a Q&A session at the Metro Stage, on Saturday. Tickets are required for the autograph sessions.
Known for her role as Lois Lane in the four Superman movies opposite Christopher Reeve, the first of which was released in 1978, Kidder also had roles in Sisters, Black Christmas, The Great Waldo Pepper, The Amityville Horror and Heartaches. In 2004, Kidder appeared on Smallville portraying Dr. Bridgette Crosby, an emissary of Dr. Virgil Swann played by Reeve.
“With this being the 35th anniversary of one of the most popular Superman movies of all time, Metropolis is proud to welcome back Margot for the 35th Annual superman Celebration,” Ogle said.
Kidder will be available to meet fans on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. She will be joining other special guests Tracy Scoggins, who played Cat Grant on Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and two actors from 1957 episodes of The Adventures of Superman starring George Reeves — Laurie Mitchell Roberts, who appeared in The Man Who Made Dreams Come True, and Gregory Moffett, who appeared in The Stolen Elephant.
