Born Sept. 5, 1933 in Simpson, Mr. Sharp was of the Baptist faith and retired from the retail industry.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen Sharp; one daughter, Debbie A. Sharp Brown and husband Cecil of Hartman; two sisters, Beverly Hertter of Metropolis and Mary Smith of Vienna; six grandchildren, Holly Williams and husband George of New York, N.Y., Megan Moore of Clarksville, Ark., Brian Sharp and Adam Sharp of Van Buren, Ark. and Michael Brown and Sean Brown of Hartman; six great-grandchildren, Keegan Sharp, Kenzie Williams and Nicholas Williams, all of New York, Hunter Brown and Aryssa Brown of Hartman and Kenneth Sharp of Van Buren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ada Nelson Sharp; one son, Edward Sharp; one brother, Lewis Eads; and one sister, Alice Ridgeway.
Funeral service was held April 8 at Broussard Chapel in Clarksville with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville. Pallbearers were John Brown, Michael Brown, Sean Brown, Megan Moore, Brian Sharp and George Williams. Honorary pallbearers were David Jeffords, Lewis Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Eddie Thompson, Billy Bear Harris and Robert Sams.
