Today, God called a sweet angel home — Mable Alean Bradshaw Cohoon, 80, of Brookport, passed away at 1:35 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at Pell Cemetery with Rev. Scott Harner officiating.

Mable was born Oct. 12, 1932 in Van Buren, Mo. She was married to Miles A. Cohoon for 56 years. They had four children, David A Cohoon, Randy E. Cohoon 10/30/60 - 3/24/03, Steven A. Cohoon 8/12/65 – 6/28/98 and Belinda S. Cohoon Thomas; and four grandchildren, April D. Cohoon Webb 9/14/76-3/5/12, Matthew S. Thomas, MacKenzie D. Thomas and Bradley T. Thomas.

Mable has one sister, Janet Brooks Harner, who married Rev. Scott Harner of Anna; and was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis is in charge of the arrangements.
