The Canadian group Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) went on to have a fair amount of success with the song, and it eventually reached an almost iconic status with that title hook and some catchy guitar chording. That phrase, “takin’ care of business” is now a part of our lexicon.
Well, two games into the IHSA state softball series, Massac County’s Lady Patriots have pretty well BTO’ed their competition.
After a 10-0 whitewashing of Vienna, the ladies captured their second straight regional championship Saturday morning with an even more impressive 7-0 shutout of a tough Carterville team.
The left arm of Kaylee Childers, an impressive defense and a one through nine lineup that just plain hits, have made short work of things so far.
The 10-0 five-inning win over Vienna was “business as usual” for the ladies as Childers limited the Lady Eagles to one hit over five innings while striking out five and walking one.
