Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 29 at noon at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. Gerrell Cain officiating. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Belknap.
Mr. Ford retired from Harrah’s Casino in Metropolis and had also worked at the Coke Bottling Co. in Paducah for many years.
He had served as a coach for the Karnak Khoury League for many years and had also been a volunteer firefighter for the Karnak Fire Department.
Mr. Ford was presently serving on the Village Board in Karnak, was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Western United Cherokee.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Caraker Ford of Karnak; three sons, Tim Ford and wife Stephanie, Shawn Ford and Ben Ford, all of Metropolis; two stepdaughters, Tina Abate of Sikeston, Mo. and Tara Burns and husband Chuck of Belknap; one stepson, Justin Meyer of Chicago; one brother, Steve Ford of Metropolis; one sister, Shirley Anderson of Karnak; and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Printha Davis Ford.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
