A whirlwind week for Dustin Korte ended late Sunday afternoon with a dramatic, one hole playoff win over Brandon Thompson in the Metropolis Country Club Open Invitational tournament.

While not quite as big a stage as the Glen Club, Metropolis Country Club hosted its Open Invitational this weekend and around 100 players vied for the flighted-play prize money.

Korte was on top of his game Saturday with a seven under score of 64 to pull clear of Thompson who fired a 68. The final pairing of Korte, Thompson, Jake Hamilton and Steve Korte put on a nice show for the large gallery who followed them around on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.
